STRENGTHENING FAMILIES

SFP is an Evidence Based Parenting and Family Skills Program, which uses a 14 week curriculum.

This program has been proven to be effective in modifying unwanted behaviors in children of high-risk, as well as regular families, by using a rewards system, rather than punishment, as well as decreasing the likelihood of substance abuse by increasing family bonding.

The target of the SFP at LCDA is Hispanic families with substance abuse issues with children between the ages 3-12.
