ANNUAL REPORT
LCDA: Serving the Community
During Fiscal Year 2015-16, the staff and volunteers at the Latino Community Development Agency (LCDA) served children, youth and adults in our community through 114,000 encounters. Our advocacy efforts have a positive impact on the quality of life of the entire community in Oklahoma. Through our 21 programs, the LCDA aims at nurturing positive Latino cultural values such as a cohesive family lifestyle, strong work ethic, spirituality and perseverance and reaching toward the goals of economic self sufficiency, higher levels of education and positive participation in our society.
The LCDA & Education
Since 2002, LCDA has awarded 481 scholarships to Latino Seniors for a total amount of $474,150. This has been possible thanks to the sponsors who contributed to the LCDA scholarship fund. In addition, many of these scholarships are matched by partner area colleges & universities leveraging over 4 million dollars in scholarship money.
LCDA promotes leadership by empowering our youth leaders, promoting education, political participation, integrity and involvement in the community and in the formulation of community solutions.
